Cleaning is one of the main concerns of local residents. And of the City Council too: it is the contract we allocate most money to, practically 10% of the annual municipal budget.

We have worked on a new cleaning and waste collection contract which adds more workers and new electric vehicles, cutting emissions and noise, along with other improvements. The new service is already operating in all districts of the city. The introduction of this new service is part of the Cuidem Barcelona Plan, launched last October 2021.

With the new plan we are adapting to the needs of each neighbourhood and each moment.

We will also be improving the channels you can report incidents through: website, app and phone 010 for achieving, between us all, a cleaner and more sustainable city with quality public spaces.
